Ydelweis van Doorndraai has made a remarkable recovery after breaking her jaw a few years ago and was recently cleared to be put under saddle. She went on to deliver a solid IBOP performance at the 2025 judging and earned her Star status. Ydelweis has a kind, patient temperament and approaches her work with a steady willingness, making her a rewarding mare to bring back into training.
As a daughter of the late Edelweis van Doorndraai, she carries forward an important line with both resilience and quality.
Ydelweis is in foal to Foeke 520. Ydelweis is a very tall athletic mare by combining her with Foeke 520’s genetics we are hoping for a foal with world class quality.
