Heidie van Doorndraai is a big, impressive mare with strong movement, which was clearly reflected when she received a second premie Star at the 2023 inspection. She comes from one of our older South African bloodlines, combined with the influence of Ritse 322, making her a valuable blend of traditional and modern breeding. Heidie has a steady, willing temperament and handles new work with ease, making her a pleasant mare to produce.

With her size, movement and pedigree, she is well positioned to form part of our breeding programme in the future. As a daughter of the late Yolandi van Doorndraai, Heidie continues a meaningful branch of our stud’s history.
