Mona Lisa became the second Doorndraai Bred Preferent mare when her Tjalf 443 ‘Sport’ daughter Zona van Doorndraai became star at the 2021 Inspection at Doorndraai.
At the age of 19 she however contracted very serious plastentitis that led to a secondary bacterial infection that she could not fight. She passed away on the morning of 5 July 2023 surrounded by the grooms that cared for her, her whole life. She leaves a gaping hole at Doorndraai. Luckily we still have her two daughters Ivory and Zona with us.
